Everything You Need to Know
Current Status: ACP Has Ended
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is no longer available. The FCC stopped accepting new ACP applications on February 7, 2024, after Congress did not approve additional funding, and the benefit fully wound down for existing enrollees by mid-2024.
What ACP Used to Offer
- Up to $30/month toward internet service ($75/month on qualifying Tribal lands)
- A one-time discount of up to $100 toward a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer
- Funded through a fixed, one-time congressional appropriation rather than ongoing funding
What to Do Instead
If you previously relied on ACP, Lifeline remains active and ongoing. Many former ACP providers, including Free Phone Wireless, also offer Lifeline plans, so switching your qualifying benefit over is usually straightforward — see our eligibility checker to get started.
